The device (2) has a set of lighting devices aligned such that the lighting devices illuminate light in surrounding regions of a vehicle (1). Maximum intensity of emitted light is measured at angle of 20-60 degrees along a vertical direction in an installed state. The lighting devices are formed as LEDs (7). A connector is electrically connected to an onboard network of the vehicle. A separate cable channel is provided for electrical supply lines. The LEDs are outwardly provided with transparent covers and rubber gaskets.
