The interface (1) has a bar (7) completely or partly rotating in a circumferential direction formed at a duct element (2) in a region of a radial excess (6), where the bar is extended in a direction of another duct element (3). An insertion element (10) is arranged at the latter duct element and formed from a segment in the circumferential direction. The bar is mounted on an outer surface (12) of the insertion element and extended with respect to board surfaces (4a, 5a), where the outer surface is formed in sections at an angle (alpha) of greater than 0 degree. An independent claim is also included for a method for connecting two duct elements by an interface.
