摘要

The one-dimensional time-dependent equation of heat conduction is solved analytically for an infinite two-layer circular cylinder which may have either a hollow or a solid core. The layers are in perfect thermal contact with a constant heat flux applied uniformly on the outside of the cylinder and zero heat flux on the inside. The solution for the temperature within each layer of the cylinder is in the form of Bessel functions or infinite series. It is found from the heat-conduction equation by using the method of separation of variables, by homogenizing the boundary conditions, by applying the boundary conditions, and by determining eigenvalues and eigenfuctions.
