The segment has grooves (11-19) for receiving an array of coils arranged in first and second layers, so that one of coil sides (26b-30b) of each coil is arranged in the first layer and the other coil side of each coil arranged in the second layer. The grooves have depth for receiving another array of coils that is arranged in a third layer. One of coil sides (22b -25b) of each coil in the latter array of coils is arranged in the second layer, and remaining sides (22a-25a) of the coil in the latter array of coils are arranged in the third layer.
