The dishwasher has a planar, funnel-shaped filter element (9) i.e. plastic injection molded part, comprising a filter surface that is interspersed with wire holes, where the filter surface is inclined around an angle of inclination. A hole axis of each wire hole is arranged perpendicular to the filter surface of the filter element. The filter element comprises an inner edge and an outer edge that is supported on a rinsing tank bottom part (3) and displaced around a height displacement in a downward direction. The inner and the outer edges are connected with each other via the filter surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a dishwasher.
