The clutch (1) has a switchable cooling unit e.g. wet running switching or starting element. A disk set (2) is arranged coaxially on a shaft (10), where an adjustable medium (12) is provided for controlling a cooling oil supply to the disk set or other components to be cooled. The adjustable medium is arranged for cooling oil supply control within the shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a clutch in an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle.
