The method involves recording an angiography scene under contrast agent allowance with individual angiography images in a vascular segment (20). Starting and endpoints (23, 24) of a measuring region of the segment are fixed for a flow rate evaluation. Piecewise linear portions are distributed with respect to a center line (22) of the segment. Contrast intensity curves of a section are determined. Time deltas of a mark are determined upto next mark. Flow rates are calculated from the determined time deltas of maximum intensities of the curves and after the flow rates are visually displayed. The marks are selected from group consisting of line-, dot-, pixel- and surface marks.
