The reactor has a liquid-cooled cooling screen (3) limiting a gasification chamber (8) and arranged within a pressure cladding (5). The cooling screen comprises a cooling system that acts according to a principle of transpiration refrigeration. The cooling screen comprises a porous layer (6) in which medium is injected by lines aligned on the gasification chamber for realizing transpiration refrigeration. The lines terminate in the porous layer. The porous layer is divided into various heights of the cooling screen into segments of different porosities.
