The device (1) has a piston-cylinder-device (2) formed as a double acting piston-cylinder-device. A piston (18) of the piston-cylinder-device is impinged with an operating pressure (p-B) within area of a working surface (19,20) over a valve device (3). The operating pressure works in direction of position (S1) equivalent to a designed operating condition of the parking brake device or in a position (S2) equivalent to an engaged operating condition of the parking brake device.
