The device (10) has an ultrasonic sonotrode (22) i.e. convertor sonotrode, supported by a machining tool (18). A processing tool executes a processing movement together with the ultrasonic sonotrode. A sheet product is partially splitted by a machining movement i.e. linear movement. A tool holder (14) is secured and moved by a vertical carriage (16). An oscillating movement executed by the ultrasonic sonotrode runs along direction parallel to the machining movement. The machining tool includes a perforation cutting a flat product in parts.
