The method involves storing a detailed record of image data in a memory unit of a network, and determining data transmission bandwidth of the network. The image data is loaded in a predetermined resolution into a server computer (S) for three dimensional (3D)-processing when exceeding a determined data transmission bandwidth result over a predetermined threshold and if determined data transmission bandwidth drops below a predetermined threshold value or equal to the result with a threshold value, respectively. A 3D volume is generated from the loaded image data. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for distributing load of three dimensional-processing of image data between client computer and a server computer of a network.
