The device (10) has an armature (18) which is rigidly coupled to a valve needle (24). A coil (20) is provided to generate magnetic flux, when current is applied to armature. A valve plate (28) is operated against valve seat (32). A guide portion (22) is provided at distal end portion of valve needle and to enclose armature. A non-magnetic component (44) is arranged in axial end position (37) of armature, so as to connect magnetically separated areas of guide portion.
