The bag (10) has a connector (50) connected to a gas bag casing (12) with a vehicle-fixed component. The connector is made of resilient material i.e. plastic. A plate-like gas bag-side connection section of the connector is held in a region of the gas bag casing, and is in direct contact with a gas space of the bag. An intermediate portion extends between the gas bag-side connection section and a vehicle-side connection section of the connector. Length of a cylindrical gas generator (40) is smaller than width of the bag.
