The method involves setting the probabilities of bits of coded information sequence. An estimation signal of all bits of information sequence is transmitted as an output from a decoder, when termination condition occurs in an iteration loop with iteration probabilities of all coded bits from decoder to back-coupled channel equalizer. A syndrome sequence associated with estimation signal is computed. Correct and incorrect blocks of estimated coded information sequence are identified based on syndrome sequence, for decoding the incorrect blocks by the decoder. An independent claim is included for reception system for receiving particular faulted receipt sequence.
