The method involves providing the illumination assembly (1) with a multitude of LEDs (2a-2f), in which each LED comprises unique address. The addresses of the LEDs of the illumination assembly are determined. The position of one portion of the LED of illumination assembly is determined by sequential operation of all LEDS of the illumination assembly and by assigning the position to the address of the claimant LED.
