The system has an injection unit (12) for introducing fluid e.g. water urea mixture or liquid fuel, into an exhaust stream. An injector nozzle is guided upstream to a selective catalytic reduction (SCR)-catalyst into an exhaust line (10). The injector nozzle is opened into an injection portion (16) of the exhaust line at an injection location, where the exhaust gas coming from a supply section (20) of the exhaust line flows tangentially into the injection portion in order to mediate a rotational impulse to the exhaust gas around the injection location.
