The protector and aid have a limiter function, a mini high fidelity microphone, an individually adapted otoplastic with an ear phone. A control device continuously adjusts a maximum sound level of sound transmission from the microphone to the ear phone. The protector and the aid are additionally retrofitted with hearing aid functions. A maximum value of the sound level is 85 decibels.
