Method for manufacturing multi-component injection molded parts e.g. body panel parts, for vehicle, involves releasing deadhead formed by injection channel during demolding process of foldback section, and exposing deadhead to ejection
The method involves extruding a carrier part (3) from a rear side of the carrier part over a cold runner manifold such that no injection points are provided on a front side, which is provided with a decorating material of the carrier part. An injection material is guided from the rear side over an injection channel (13) arranged at interior of a mold slide (12), which forms a foldback section. A deadhead (11) formed by the channel is released during demolding process of the section and exposed to ejection. The deadhead is released and ejected by effect of an ejector (18). An independent claim is also included for a device for performing a method for manufacturing multi-component injection molded parts e.g. device housing parts or body panel parts.
