The dryer has a drying chamber (2) equipped with a movable blocking device at an end of a drying section. The movable blocking device allows accurate determination of drying time by retaining a drying property in the drying chamber. The drying chamber is divided by movable separating devices (10) into individual segments. Drying air from the drying chamber from all or a part of the segments is upwardly discharged. The separating devices are made of flexible, air-permeable or airtight material. The drying chamber is protected from corrosion by an epoxy resin coating. An independent claim is also included for a method for drying goods in a spin-wave dryer.
