The powertrain device has torsion damper (10) to decouple torsional vibration of a power train (11). An electromotor sensor unit (12) senses the location of electromotor (13) in torsion damper. A power train sensing unit (14) determines the rotation speed of the power train in torsion damper. A control unit (15) determines transmitted drive torque of torsion damper based on location of electromotor and rotation speed of the power train. An independent claim is included for method for determining drive torque transmitted by powertrain device of hybrid vehicle.
