The assembly (10) has a powertrain (13) transferring drive moment of a drive unit (11) i.e. front drive, to a driving wheel (17) of a vehicle. A coupling element (18) is attached to another drive unit. The coupling element is formed such that the latter drive unit is uncoupled for transferring another torque to or from the powertrain. The powertrain comprises a drive shaft (14) effectively coupled with the drive unit and/or a driven shaft (16) coupled with the driving wheel of the vehicle. The latter drive unit is formed as a high-speed electromotor (12) or a rear drive. The drive shaft is designed as a propeller shaft. The coupling element is designed as a form-fit coupling element. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a drive assembly of a vehicle.
