The material has a connection between a polyethylene foam film and a mineral layer such that individual threads, filaments or fibers of the mineral layer are welded with the film in an under-welded part of the mineral layer. The individual threads, filaments or fibers are made to stick together partly with the film by a pressure roller. A covering layer covers the film and the mineral layer.
