The display system has range determining unit that determines range of electric vehicle based on current positional information of vehicle and residual amount of energy in energy storage unit of vehicle. A display device displays the range of the electric vehicle. The range of electric vehicle is visually represented in three range categories on the display device by different colors. The three range categories are defined as guaranteed achievable range, additional condition achievable range and non-achievable range.
