Miniaturized device (1) comprises: (a) many sample chambers (4) in or on a substrate (2) for receiving a sample of the biological material, where each of the sample chambers is equipped with at least one pair of measuring electrodes (8); and (b) many integrated circuits (5), where each integrated circuit is spatially associated with at least one sample chamber and is electrically connected with the measuring electrodes of the respectively associated sample chamber. Miniaturized device (1) comprises: (a) many sample chambers (4) in or on a substrate (2) for receiving a sample of the biological material, where each of the sample chambers is equipped with at least one pair of measuring electrodes (8); and (b) many integrated circuits (5), where each integrated circuit is spatially associated with at least one sample chamber and is electrically connected with the measuring electrodes of the respectively associated sample chamber, where the integrated circuits are designed and arranged such that the measuring electrodes of each of the sample chambers can be supplied individually with a voltage, and the resistance between the measuring electrodes for each of sample chambers can be measured individually.
