The method involves adapting an inner crown on a gypsum model of prepared stumps of a tooth present in a jaw of a patient. Shape and an arrangement of the inner crown on the jaw of the patient are detected by scanning the gypsum model. A calculated outer crown is manufactured using a non-metallic material by a program-controlled computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system. Detected values of shape of the inner and outer crowns captured by CAD graphic scanners are stored for easier reconstruction of denture to an individual patient to in a case of repair. An independent claim is also included for an outer crown comprising a plastic body.
