The headlight (10) has a cover (42) for reducing incidence of visible light (44, 46, 48) on a semiconductor infrared radiation source (36). The cover has a high transmission degree for infrared radiation (40) radiated by the radiation source compared to that of the visible light. The cover is formed as a supplementary color disk that is arranged between a cover plate (52) covering a light exit opening of the headlight and an optical element (38) that narrows the infrared radiation of the radiation source, where the cover is formed as a reflector.
