The stack (3) has a protecting layer system comprising an insulating layer and a tubular metal seal, where the insulating layer is made of plastic, rubber or silicone. The tubular metal seal surrounds the stack. Longitudinal ends of the stack are closed by pot-like trained closure caps. The closure caps inversely point to an outer side through a pot aperture. The closure caps are inserted into the tubular metal seal, where the metal seal is designed as a metal foil. The closure caps are welded or stuck together with the metal seal. An independent claim is also included for a piezo injector comprising a housing for arranging a piezo stack.
