The device (1) has a mixing chamber (4), a rotatable outer mixing- and conveying tool (5) with conveying screws (10, 12) and a dispersing blade (11). A rotatable inner mixing- and conveying tool (2) is provided with conveying screws (13, 15) and a fluidizer blade (14). The mixing chamber has a compression zone (18) attached to mixing zones along a conveyance direction and a discharge zone (23) attached to the compression zone. The mixing zones comprise a material feeding zone (20) and an intensive mixing zone (19) adjacent to the compression zone. An independent claim is also included for a method for mixing a bulk material or a pasty mass to an extrudable material with a mixing device.
