The separator (1) has angular shells (4, 5) arranged e.g. clipped, welded or screwed, together with an angle such that an air duct is provided between the shells so that air flows from a passenger compartment (3) into a rear region (2) of a motor car. The shells are arranged such that appropriate side pieces of the shells run parallel to each other and spaced from each other in cross-section. The air duct has an aperture (8) towards the rear region. The shells are made of plastic or metal, where one of the shells is provided with a wiper housing.
