The sealing cap has a base (1) and an extending peripheral wall (2), which is provided with radially inwardly projecting latching unit, where a transponder is attached to the base. A carrier for receiving the transponder is applied on the wall facing away from top of the base. A cover is welded, adhered or latched to the base by a locking device. An independent claim is also included for a manufacturing method for sealing cap for valve of a keg-barrel.
