Genetic engineering of NF-YB transcription factors for increased drought resistance and increased yield in transgenic plants

Polynucleotides are disclosed which are capable of increasing the yield of a plant that has been transformed to contain these polynucleotides. Also provided were methods of using these polynucleotides as well as transgenic plants and agricultural products, including seeds / seeds, containing these polynucleotides as transgenes.
