Process for the preparation of sol-gel corrosion protection coatings for solar absorbers

The invention relates to a method for producing sol-gel anti-corrosion coatings for solar absorbers, the surfaces of which are composed of thin layers of cermet materials, which are deposited on a metallic substrate. The method comprises mixing at least one mercaptosilane dissolved in an organic solvent with water and an acid catalyst and with an optionally present further silane, bringing a substrate into contact with the resulting sol mixture over a period of time that is sufficient for allowing a film of at least monomolecular thickness developing on the substrate to be formed on the substrate, removing the sol mixture from the substrate, and drying and finally heat-treating the substrate.
