The device has a separation unit (36) separating small bone remnants (28) separated from a wire unit (20) in magnetic small bone remnants (38) and a set of non-magnetic small bone remnants (40). Another wire unit (48) is provided with defined mesh size (62) for separating another set of non-magnetic small bone remnants (46) in large constituents (56) with a grain size larger than the mesh size and in small constituents (50) with a grain size equal to or smaller than the mesh size. An output unit (52) outputs the small constituents separated with the latter wire unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing burning process remnant with cremation.
