The converter (100) has a comparator (112) provided with two comparator inputs, where one input for an analog input signal and another input for an analog comparison signal and a comparator output for a digital output signal. A comparison signal generation unit (120) is arranged such that an actual reference signal value of various reference signal values is added or subtracted according to a value of the comparison signal depending on a digital control signal to generate consecutive value of the comparison signal for an application on the latter comparator input. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for analog-digital converting of analog input signal (2) a computer program with program code comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for analog-digital converting of analog input signal.
