The arrangement (1) has a shaft (4) having a specific shaft diameter (DW) over shaft shoulder (10). An end of a tapered region (11) with specific pin diameter is merged in shaft journal (12). The diameter (D1) of shaft in tapered region is changed to a diameter (D2). The annular spaces (15a,15b) are formed between inner ring assembly (7) and shaft. The free annular area of annular space (15a) is extended in longitudinal section through rotation axis (2) of the shaft. The annular space (15b) is adapted to receive a centering projection (19) of a bearing cap (13).
