The sensor (19) has a sensor unit that is mounted in a groove provided in a connector (1) for connecting cable ends of the cable (2) in which cable straps (3) are provided. A stopper (4) is mounted on the connector. Two opposite noses (11) are provided in stopper. A O-ring groove (6), O-ring seal (7) and a stop (8) are mounted at both sides of the stopper for protecting the sensor unit. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing sensor.
