The method involves guiding a working medium (1) into a circuit (I) at high pressure, where the vapor pressure of the working medium releases tension subsequently under the release of mechanical energy. The working medium then condenses under the release of thermal energy (Q) and finally is returned to the evaporation. Another working medium (2) is guided into another circuit (II), which is compressed under the supply of mechanical energy, and is condensed under the release of thermal net energy (Q-n), and is throttled for pressure reduction. An independent claim is included for a device for utilizing thermal energy in the low temperature region by a clockwise Clausius-Rankine cycle process.
