The method involves heating a side of the drainage band (2) in the pressing gap after the route guidance of the fibrous web. Water vapor is formed at the heated side in the draining band. The heating surface is formed metallic and is heated inductively. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for draining a drainage band of a press arrangement.
