The system has a content-server (1) for generating asynchronous data flow, and a transmitter (3) comprising a modulator (31) for modulating the data flow. Digital-to-analog converters (33, 34) convert the modulated data flow into an analog transmission signal. An amplifier (35) amplifies the transmission signal, where the server has a time base for generating the data flow and the transmitter has another time base. The transmitter has a computing unit for adjusting the time base of the transmitter to the time base of the server based on the data flow received from the server. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating and transmitting data flow in a digital sound broadcasting system.
