The cable (2) has a cable unit (203) for transmission of charge current. Latching units lock a connection among connectors (201, 202) e.g. socket and plug, and first and second type terminals (101, 102). A wireless communication interface is provided at the cable, and the latching units are electrically actuated via the wireless communication interface in a contactless manner. The wireless communication interface comprises a near field communication (NFC)interface or a radio signal receiver.
