The awning (1) has a cloth (3) wound from a rotatably mounted cloth shaft. A front end of the cloth is fastened to a driving profile (4). Bottom-side fastened support posts (5) are arranged against an upper free end of the driving profile when completely driving the awning. A holding element is arranged at the driving profile or an upper end of the support posts. The holding element is retracted in a receiver at a part and locked in the receiver by a locking element. The support posts are positioned such that end regions of the driving profile move against the upper end of the posts.
