The heating tarpaulin has a double walled gas-tight tarpaulin element for the support of ice surface, particularly on an airplane, which is kept free. The tarpaulin element with is filled gas, particularly with warm air, where a gas inlet and a gas outlet are provided. An independent claim is also included for a method for deicing a surface of an airplane.
