The method involves detecting a three-dimensional position of characteristic points (14a-14e, 14g-14j) of a body e.g. joints of an astronaut (10). Three-dimensional-co-ordinates of the detected three-dimensional position of each detected characteristic point of the body of the astronaut are transmitted from a spacecraft (12) to a control station as telemetry data. The three-dimensional position of the characteristic points of the body of the astronaut is optically detected via cameras e.g. commercial webcams, to receive various viewing angles in the spacecraft.
