The arrangement (10) has a storage device e.g. battery (14), for supplying electrical power to an electromotor (20) for driving a passenger car. A mechanical arrangement (22) is arranged in a longitudinal direction (24) of the car in front of the storage device, so that the storage device is supported at the mechanical arrangement by switching a supporting bar (32) during a force application caused by an accident such as front crash of the car. The supporting bar extends along the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The supporting bar is arranged in a central region of a body of the car.
