The assembly has a holding device comprising a traction element (16) e.g. steel cable or tether, and an attachment fitting (18) for a movable belt buckle (12). A bellow (22) is provided below the buckle. The bellow is provided with an upper front wall (24), and surrounds the holding device in a circumferential direction. A fixing unit i.e. bushing, is attached to the traction element and arranged adjacent to a lower side (26) of the buckle and an inner side of the front wall. The fixing unit holds the front wall at the buckle. The bellow is made from textile or leather-like material. The pressure sleeve of the buckle assembly is made from plastic.
