The method involves enabling hydraulic adjustment of delivery rate of fluid in a hydraulic pump and pressure in a chamber by an adjusting device, where the chamber is subjected to control pressure. A switching valve i.e. magnetic valve (30), is provided for pressurization or pressure relief of effective area of a control piston (17), where the control piston generates control pressure from delivery pressure. Delivery pressure of the hydraulic pump is provided against another effective area (19) of the control piston before placing a module for cooling and/or filtering hydraulic fluid.
