The method involves connecting an inflatable gasbag (6) with an airbag holder, and securing the airbag holder to an airbag housing (4). The airbag holder is manufactured by injection molding, and the gasbag is connected to the airbag holder in formfit manner using injection molding material. The gasbag comprises a flexible gasbag wall comprising a recess. An injection molding mass forming the airbag holder is driven via the recess during injection-molding in order to engage the gasbag wall at both sides. An independent claim is also included for an airbag module.
