The method involves displaying a name of a mobile telephone on a display (4) of a motor vehicle i.e. motor car (1), for the selection of the mobile telephone, if the mobile telephone is activated and arranged within a range of a Bluetoothtype communication link. The communication link is automatically initialized by a shock sensor according to unique knocking of the mobile telephone against the motor vehicle at a predetermined area (7), where the vehicle is provided with a telephone controller i.e. speakerphone, for operating the telephone over the communication link. The shock sensor is an acceleration sensor.
