The electrode (10) has two electrically conductive regions (14) separated from each other by an electrical insulation unit (16), where the electrode is arranged at workpieces (18). Groove profiles (20) are embossed in the workpiece as images of the electrically conductive regions using electro-chemical removal process. The electrically conductive regions are spaced at a distance from one another such that the images overlap at the common groove profile in the workpieces. A space between the conductive regions and a surface of the workpieces is filled with sodium chloride or sodium nitride. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electro-chemical removal process (2) a fluid-dynamic bearing.
