The pedal force simulator (1) has a pneumatically operated piston-cylinder unit (3). A piston rod (11) is slide mounted by a slide bearing of a radial-spherical bearing (17) in a front wall (10) of cylinders (5) in axial and angularly variable manner. The front wall of the cylinder is arranged adjacent to a damping chamber (7). The radial spherical plain bearing has a bearing inner ring (18) with a convex, spherical outer circumferential surface and a bearing outer ring (19) with a concave spherical inner circumferential surface corresponding to the bearing inner ring.
